San Jose police were investigating a homicide Sunday afternoon after a man was found dead near Lake Cunningham in South San Jose, according to a department spokesperson.
Officers responded to the 3000 block of Peppermint Drive, near White Road, just after 1 p.m., police said. By Sunday evening, investigators were still trying to determine where the killing took place, and it was not immediately clear how the man died. No suspects had been identified.
It is the city's 44th homicide of the year.
