San Jose Police Investigating Man's Fatal Stabbing

A man was stabbed to death in downtown San Jose on Sunday morning, the city's 27th homicide this year, according to the San Jose Police Department.

At about 9:50 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of North First Street on a report of a person deceased. Upon arrival officers found a man suffering from at least one stab wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The San Jose Police Homicide Unit took over the investigation. No suspect or motive details were provided and the circumstances surrounding the death are under investigation, police said.

The victim was not identified and won't be until the Coroner’s Office has notified next of kin, police said.
