San Jose Police Searching for Deadly Stabbing Suspect

Police are on the hunt for the suspect in a deadly stabbing in the South Bay.

San Jose police responded at about 5:40 a.m. to the 200 block of North 26th Street on a report of a stabbing. Police say they found a man with at least one stab wound.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died. Investigators have not released the victim's identity.

Police do not have a motive nor do officers understand the circumstances of the stabbing, police said.

No arrests have been made, Officer Albert Morales said.

The name of the victim will not be released until the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office has confirmed the victim's identity and the office notifies the victim's next of kin.
