San Jose Police: 2 Men Wanted in Girl's Kidnapping, Sexual Assault

San Jose police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating two men who reportedly kidnapped a girl and sexually assaulted her.

Police said at about 4 p.m. Tuesday, two Hispanic men in a white or silver van pulled up next to a girl sitting at a bus stop in the area of Saratoga and Campbell avenues. The suspects forced the girl into the van and sexually assaulted her, according to police.

The victim was later dropped off by the suspects in the area of Saratoga Avenue and Prospect Road, police said.

Both men are described to be in their 30s.

Residents said while they have heard of some crimes in the area, including robberies, they were shocked to hear about the sexual assault.

"It's a pretty good neighborhood, but it has its pockets," Campbell resident Radu Zlatanovici said. "And it's honestly not the first time I hear of crimes in the neighborhood."

The incident happened at a very busy intersection, near Westgate Mall and fairly close to Prospect High School.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the San Jose Police Departments Sexual Assault Investigation Unit at 408-277-4102. Those who wish to remain anonymous may contact the Crime Stoppers tip line at 408-947-7867.
