A San Jose woman is dead after the SUV she was driving crashed into a palm tree in Los Gatos early Wednesday morning, police said.
Police have not yet identified the woman but say she might have been speeding when she crashed her Toyota 4Runner into the tree at about 3:20 a.m. at the intersection of Blossom Hill Road and Union Avenue. No skid marks on the roadway, police said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police closed several roads in the area during the investigation.
