The San Jose City Council is set to debate locations for a softball complex to be built with money from a bond measure passed 13 years ago.
Several city park officials said after an extensive study of a half-dozen potential locations around San Jose, the best site is property located south of Eastridge Mall, near Quimby Road and Capitol Expressway.
Other city officials say the county fairgrounds is a better alternative.
The $228 million Measure P park bond funds was approved in 2000.
The San Jose City Council will debate locations at its Tuesday night meeting at San Jose City Hall.
