An elderly male pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday morning outside the Marin County Civic Center, a police spokeswoman said.
The incident happened around 9:45 a.m. at Civic Center Drive and Peter Behr Drive, spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher said.

The driver stopped at the scene, and passersby gave the pedestrian first aid, Rohrbacher said.
The San Rafael Police Department's major accident investigative team responded to the collision, she said.
