Santa Clara County Prepares for Influx of Same-Sex Marriages

Santa Clara County Supervisor Ken Yeager performed the first same-sex marriage ceremonies in the county in 2008.

He also is the first openly gay supervisor in the county, and has fought for gay rights in the South Bay for more than 30 years.

Yeager, who says Wednesday's Supreme Court Prop 8 ruling is a major victory, sits down with NBC Bay Area's Marianne Favro.

View more of what Yeager has to say regarding the ruling and how the county is preparing to handle an expected influx of same-sex marriages in the video above.
