For the first time, Santa Clara hosted Japan Expo, a unique cultural festival celebrating Japanese pop culture and entertainment.
Japan Expo USA took place this past weekend at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Concentrating on Japan's youth culture, the festival included manga, anime, video games, music, martial arts, and costumes.
"We're a celebration of Japanese culture and entertainment, mainly through it's pop culture and media," SEFA Entertainment CEO Sean Chiochankitmun said. "This is our first year in Santa Clara but we've been running our show in Paris for 14 years."
The response was so good, they will return to Santa Clara next year.
