A wayward seal caused a stir Tuesday night near the Berkeley pier.
The animal was wandering in the middle of the street.
Police called the Marine Mammal Center in Marin County to come and pick the little guy up, but by the time they arrived, he was already back in the water.
It turns out the young seal is tagged, and he even has a name. "School Days" has been to Berkeley before.
He seems to like it, so he may be back, sooner rather than later.
