Missing San Ramon Teen Located in Fairfield: Police

8 P.M. TUESDAY UPDATE: Missing San Ramon teen Taylor Cusick was located with a friend in Fairfield, police said. Both teens appear to be OK, according to police.

Previous story:

The search continues for a 14-year-old San Ramon girl who has been missing for a week.

Parents said Taylor Cusick left a friend's house last Monday and has not been seen or heard from since.

"Somebody called her on her phone (and) said they needed help," said Rod Cusick, Taylor's father. "She went to her friend and said 'I got to go. Don't tell my mom.'"

That is when her father said the teen went outside of a gated community in San Ramon, changed her clothes and left behind her backpack and purse. It was the last time anyone saw her.

San Ramon police have a detective assigned to the case. Police said their investigation leads them to believe Taylor is a runaway -- something her parents said is not true.

The last call from Taylor's cell phone was recorded at 8:34 p.m. on July 30, the day she disappeared. The Cusicks believe their daughter left with someone she knew, but they said it does not make sense that she has not come home.

The family organized a search party Sunday and have been posting fliers in hopes someone can help them find the teen.

"Somebody knows something," Rod Cusick said. "Baby if you're out there just come home. Mom and I are a wreck."

Taylor is described as standing 5 feet, 4 inches tall. She has has dark hair and green eyes. Anyone with information should contact the San Ramon Police Department at 925-973-2700.
