Shark Tank Celebrates Silver Anniversary

The San Jose Sharks on Monday unveiled new logos to commemorate the beginning of their 25th National Hockey League (NHL) season, one day after the 25th anniversary of the groundbreaking of SAP Center.

The primary anniversary logo features a “swimming” shark with an exposed tail above a diamond encrusted “25” and will be worn as a patch all season long on the team’s game sweaters.

The secondary logo reflects the logo’s evolution from its original form to its current, more 3-D mark.

The third logo features a whole “swimming” shark, complete with a full tail. This logo is a fuller depiction of the current Sharks logo.

In addition to the new logos, a new “Heritage Jersey” will be created and worn by the Sharks for a limited number of games to later be announced. The “Heritage Jersey” was developed by the original jersey creator, Terry Smith.

According to the San Jose media, the San Jose Sharks will honor and fondly recall their proud, teal-toned history throughout the season. Past fan-favorite team members will make guest appearances, there will be various giveaway nights, fan contests and throwback nights

The Sharks new apparel will be available for purchase next Monday.
