Sharks Teammates to Bare it All in ESPN The Magazine's Body Issue

When they hit the ice, they're caked head-to-toe in padding and woven cloth. When they hit ESPN The Magazine's Body Issue, they bare it all.

That's right. Joe Thornton and Brent Burns of the San Jose Sharks will sport nothing but their flowing beards in the upcoming release of ESPN's annual showcase highlighting every inch of an athlete's chiseled features.

A total of 21 other athletes from the sports world will join Burns and Thornton in the issue, which is slated to hit the internet on July 5 and newsstands July 7, according to reports. Isaiah Thomas of the Boston Celtics, professional women's tennis player Caroline Wozniacki and Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys are just some of the notable stars who also signed up to take photos in the buff.

Thornton and Burns have skated together in San Jose for six seasons. Thornton recently agreed to sign a one-year deal to stay with the Sharks, according to NBC Sports Bay Area, and Burns was recently awarded the James Norris Memorial Trophy, which is handed out to the league's best defensive player.
