Six-Vehicle Collision Shuts Down Northbound Highway 101 in Petaluma

A six-vehicle collision that included a big-rig hauling cars has shut down all lanes of northbound U.S. Highway 101 in Petaluma Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP Officer Jon Sloat said there were major injuries in the 11:50 a.m. crash on northbound Highway 101 south of Petaluma Boulevard North. The collision also backed up traffic on southbound Highway 101 in the area.

The No. 2 lane of northbound Highway 101 reopened at 1:07 p.m. but all others remained closed this afternoon, according to the CHP.
