Milpitas police arrested a softball coach who allegedly formed a relationship with a 15-year-old player, a police sergeant said.
Mary Elizabeth Goschy Schoenberg, 22, of San Jose, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on May 7, Milpitas police Sgt. Henry Kwong said.
On Feb. 3, police were informed of a possible relationship between a 15-year-old girl and her 22-year-old softball coach, Kwong said.
After conducting interviews with people on the allegation, detectives identified the suspect as Schoenberg and obtained an arrest warrant for her, according to Kwong.
She was arrested at her San Jose home on May 7 and was booked into county jail, Kwong said.
