A 55-year-old man suffered major injuries Sunday after his vehicle plunged 200-300 feet down a cliff off Highway 1 in Sonoma County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The first units to the scene found the driver trapped inside the vehicle suffering from critical injuries, the CHP said.
