A South San Francisco man who was convicted by a jury of raping his girlfriend's half sister and inappropriately texting, kissing and groping two other young girls, was sentenced to prison Friday.
Judge Leland Davis, III sentenced Kyle Clifton Vogt, 38, to 39 years to life in prison.
On April 29, 2014, Vogt was found guilty of aggravated rape of a minor, nine counts of felony child molestation, felony sending harmful matter to seduce and felony lewd acts on a minor.
Vogt, a former military veteran, was arrested in March 2012.
Prosecutors say Vogt victimized the young girls, who were between the ages of 5 and 13 years old, over a span of more than 10 years.
Vogt, who did not have an extensive criminal history, held numerous jobs in the auto industry in and around Woodland, Sacramento and South San Francisco, where he had lived since 2003 before being arrested.
Vogt faces 35 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on June 20. He remains in custody on a no-bail status.

Vogt's defense attorney, Matt Sullivan, said he's hopeful Vogt will get a new appeal.
"It's certainly our hope that the appellate court will see things differently," Sullivan said.
