Stabbing in Oakland Leaves Woman Dead

Police investigating a killing in Oakland Saturday said the victim's injury was the result of a stab wound.

Police responded to the 2300 block of Webster Street at 3:51 p.m., Oakland police Officer J. Moore said. Officers found the woman with an injury they later said was a stab wound. She was stabbed in the back, police said.

The woman died at the scene.

Officers are trying to gather surveillance video from businesses in the area.
