Stanford Graduate School of Business Evacuated After Bomb Threat

The Stanford Graduate School of Business was evacuated around 11 a.m. Friday as a precaution after a bomb threat was reported by Stanford University.

A campus emergency alert asked those on campus to stay away from all areas within Arguello Way, Campus Dr, and Serra Mall. Serra Street and Arguello are closed, Campus Drive is open.

"Out of an abundance of caution, Stanford Public Safety has evacuated the Graduate School of Business/Knight Management Center complex while it investigates a bomb threat," Stanford's emergency information site reported at 11:43 a.m. "Police will be conducting a sweep of the area over the next 90 minutes to two hours. Employees are asked to wait for further instruction."

The Stanford Daily tweeted at 11:30 a.m. that the evacuation had been completed and the area was currently being searched. The rest of the of campus is operating as normal and all business activities are continuing, Stanford said.
