Amber Alert Issued in Shasta County

Driver should look for a GMC Yukon with Oklahoma plates.

An Amber Alert has been issued for two children taken from the small town of Anderson California in Shasta County in Northern California

Police say Mya and Michael Sandoval are in danger.

Authorities believe they were taken by April Joy Swartz who is driving a white GMC Yukon with Oklahoma License Plate 118BZR.

She is described as a white 37-year-old woman about 5'3", weighing 120 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes.

Authorities said Swartz was traveling with her own three children who are all under 5-years-old.

Authorities believe Swartz may be under the influence of a controlled substance.

The children's parents said they left the two in Swartz's care while they took care of personal business, according to police, but she did not return them as scheduled.

She had told the parents she wanted to take the children to the Sacramento River  at Roosters Landing Fishing Resort. Swartz was seen in that area Sunday night, but people said she appeared to be on something.

Mya Sandoval is a white 5-year-old girl about 3'7", weighing about 40 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Michael Sandoval is a white 7-year-old boy about 4'8", weighing 57 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Driver should look for a GMC Yukon with Oklahoma plates.
