Stolen Guns, Thousands of Bullets Unearthed in Concord Search: Police

The Concord Police Department's newly-established Special Enforcement Team (SET) turned a traffic stop into a gun bust.

Members of the unit on Friday say they stopped a car in the Concord area. After a stolen, loaded handgun was uncovered during the stop, the SET team then went to the suspect's home, where several rifles and thousands of rounds of ammunition was discovered, police said.

SET teams are not uncommon in Bay Area police departments. Typically, the small units support patrol officers and investigators.
