Heavy rain caused major problems across the Bay Area on Monday, including flooding, painfully-slow commutes and rockslides.
One of the rock slides occurred prompted a short closure of an East Bay road late Monday. The storm caused rocks and trees to come down on Palomares Road near Fremont.
Flights into and out of San Francisco International Airport were delayed by an average of 60-90 minutes because of the rainy weather, airport spokesman Doug Yakel said.
Yakel said 110 flights — primarily shorter commuter flights — were canceled. Airport officials also urged travelers to check with their airline before coming to the airport to confirm the status of their flight.

Flood warnings were issued on Interstate 101 in Corte Madera.
Meanwhile, winter storm warnings were posted in the Sierra Nevada.
The National Weather Service said a series of strong systems will bring heavy mountain snow this week. A storm moving into the northern Sierra on Monday was expected to drop snow at rates greater than an inch an hour at times.
Elsewhere around Northern California there was rain and gusty winds, and flood watches were posted on a long stretch of the north coast from the Mendocino area to the Oregon border.
Some rain was expected along the Central Coast, while gusty winds hit much of southwestern California.
