Mt. Diablo High School Student Stabbed Near Campus

An 18-year-old student at Mt. Diablo High School in Concord was stabbed near campus Monday morning, according to officials.

The injured student, who was found around 8 a.m. in a parking lot at the school, was taken to a hospital to be treated for a minor stab wound to his abdomen, according to police and the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.

The student was stabbed in the area of Todos Santos Plaza after he had left the campus to get food, according to the school district. He then drove back to campus and flagged down a friend to get help.

Classes at the school were not impacted by the incident, according to the school district. Police added that there does not appear to be a connection between the stabbing and the school at this time.
