Sunnyvale ID Body Found in Trash Bag

The person found along a Sunnyvale sidewalk was a 46 year old woman from San Jose

The Sunnyvale Police Department identified the body found in a bloody trash bag along a quiet street Sunday morning as Maria Esther Orozco, 46, of San Jose.

The gruesome discovery happened around 10:10 a.m. in the front yard of a home on Ticonderoga Drive.

When officers arrived they said they saw what they believe was blood in a loosely cinched bag that was placed between two bushes in the front yard of a home.  When police looked inside they could tell it contained a body.

Sunnyvale police said they were able to identify Orozco through dental records. The coroner listed the cause of death as trauma to the head.

While the initial mystery is solved. Police are still searching responsible for the woman's death.

Ticonderoga Drive is a short street near Highway 85 and W. Fremont Ave. Neighbors were shocked to hear about the find saying that the area is very quiet and safe.
