Teen In Stolen Car Shot By Officers In San Jose

Police are investigating a Saturday night officer-involved shooting in East San Jose.

At approximately 11:40 p.m., officers located an occupied stolen vehicle driven in the area of Story Road and Jackson Avenue, according to San Jose police spokesman Officer Albert Morales.

In a release, Morales said officers tried to stop the vehicle, but the teenage driver struck two marked patrol vehicles.

Shots were fired in the area of Story Road and McCreery Avenue, and the suspect was hit at least once, Morales said.

The suspect was transported to the hospital and is being treated for his injuries. No officers were injured in the incident.

The suspect's identity has not been released. Morales said homicide detectives are on the scene and are investigating the shooting.

A teenage girl in the car with the suspect was taken into custody.
