The United States Post Office cargo facility was evacuated Thursday afternoon due to a suspicious package.
USPS spokesman Gus Ruiz said a piece of mail coming in on an international flight was being screened at the postal center when something looked suspicious in the package. A San Francisco police bomb squad responded to the scene and after an investigation determined the package to be non hazardous.
SFO officials said passenger terminals and flights were not impacted during the investigation.
No other information was immediately available.
