Sword-Wielding Man Arrested in San Francisco Accused of Slashing Two People

A violent incident in San Francisco ended with police arresting a sword-wielding suspect.

Arthur Welohr took hacks at two people with a sword during an argument on Friday, shortly before midnight, in the 100-block of Elmira Street in the Bayview.

According to police, Welohr cut a man’s head, hand and shoulder, then slashed a woman's hands. Both victims were in their 50s, authorities said.

Officers arrested the 26-year-old on two counts of suspicion of attempted murder.

It was not immediately clear what type of sword the suspect is accused of using, although Welohr, who appears to go by the handle KingeArthur on Twitter and Arthur King Mann on Facebook, posted a listing to sell a "Venetian war hammer" that was "battle-ready" on the website 5miles about 8 months ago.
