Police: Union City Teen Passed Out Out Marijuana Rice Krispie Treats At School

A Union City teenager is in trouble with the law for "getting her classmates high."

Union City police arrested a James Logan High freshman who they say passed out marijuana-tainted treats to her classmates at school.

She brought a tray of Rice Krispie treats baked with marijuana to school, according to the Contra Costa Times. She "passed them out and got her classmates high," the newspaper reported.

Cops visited James Logan in Union City at 2:37 p.m. Oct. 4, the newspaper reported. The student was arrested after cops found out that she passed out the loaded desserts.

She failed to tell her unwitting friends that the treats contained marijuana, according to the newspaper.

Nobody was injured, and no teachers ate of the forbidden marshmallow treats, the newspaper said.

School officials will decide whether to expel the student next week.
