Teen Charged As Adult In Infant Murder

    Authorities say two small planes have crashed in a wooded area in upstate New York.

    The family of 3 month-old Izack Jesus Jimenez will hold a memorial service for him Thursday and his funeral Friday.

    He was shot and killed overnight Saturday in East Palo Alto.

    17 year-old Fabian Zarazoza is being charged as an adult in what police say is a tragic case of mistaken identity.

    They say Zarazoza was casing the home where the family was visitng friends, looking to avenge his alleged beating at the hands of gang members in Redwood City five days before.

    Zaragoza’s family did not want to comment as they left the courthouse.

    But the Chief Deputy District Attorney said he’s charged as an adult because of his age and the baby’s.

    There is a 16-year-old who is also charged in this case. He faces weapons charges, but because he is a juvenile, the Chief Deputy DA would not comment.

    Fabian Zaragoza will be back in court a week from today.

    Until then, he will remain at the county’s juvenile facility as the judge denied his bail.
