Teen Dies Following Gas Station Electrocution

Emergency crews were called to a Daly City gas station Sunday to help two men who had reportedly been electrocuted.  One of the men died, the other is in the hospital.   Fire crews say the man who died worked at the station and was changing a light fixture at the time.  It was not clear how the second man was hurt.

The San Mateo County coroner's office identifies the man who died as 19-year-old Mustafa Algazawy of San Francisco.  The office did not list a cause of death.  His family said Algazawy was engaged to be married and was working at the station to make some money for his wedding.  He would have turned 20 this week.

Here's what is known:  Fire crews responded to a report of an electrocution at 1:24 p.m. at the 76 gas station at 101 S. Mayfair Ave.

When the crews arrived, they found one man in cardiac arrest and another man complaining of chest pains and shortness of breath.  Both were taken to separate hospitals.  Algazawy died and the other unidentified man was being evaluated by doctors.

NBC Bay Area reporter George Kiriyama found a closed gas station when he arrived on the scene around 7 p.m.   The station was roped off with crime tape.
