If You Text and Drive in the Bay Area, Your Photo Might End Up On a Billboard

Web site and now billboard document incidents of TWITs (texting while in traffic)

If you text and drive in the Bay Area, your photo may end up on the Internet -- as well as a billboard.

Driving while playing with a smartphone is an all-too-common sight on modern-day streets. And by posting photos of those who TWIT -- text while in traffic -- Brian Singer hopes to end the epidemic, according to reports.

Photos of drivers captured during Singer's commute on Highway 101 -- with phone in hand and eyes off road -- are now plastered up on billboards in San Francisco as well, TIME reports.

At any given time, there are as many as 660,000 drivers who have their phones out, according to statistics Singer presented.
