Tiger Woods Makes Quick San Francisco Trip

Former Stanford golfer plays practice round at the Olympic Club.

Former Stanford student and golfer Tiger Woods was back in the Bay Area over the weekend but only for a short while.

The former No. 1 golfer in the world was in San Francisco Tuesday to play a practice round at the Olympic Club.

Woods played the Lake Course and described it, on his video website, as a great course that still needs some work.

"It was fantastic," he said in a Google+ Hangout he conducted from the Olympic Club. "The golf course was a lot longer than when we played in 98."

The Olympic Club will host the U.S. Open from June 11 to June 17. After playing his practice round, Woods jetted to Dublin, Ohio.
