5 Arrested After Chase Ends at Travis Air Force Base

A suspected lottery ticket thief out of the South Bay and four others were apprehended following a pursuit that came to an end at Travis Air Force Base near Fairfield Wednesday morning, according to officials.

The pursuit started after Fairfield police, who had been alerted by Santa Clara police to keep an eye out for a Chrevrolet Tahoe believed to be connected to the thefts, spotted the vehicle along Interstate 80, officials said.

The Solano County Sheriff's Department eventually took over the chase before it came to an end at the base, according to officials.

Five people in the car were arrested, according to officials. One of them was wanted in connection with the suspected thefts. It is not clear if the four other people were connected to those reported crimes.

The lottery tickets were stolen from liquor stores and other lottery distribution outlets in Los Gatos, according to Santa Clara police.
