Two CHP Officers in Livermore Injured During Chase

The officers suffered minor injuries

Two California Highway Patrol officers suffered minor injuries after their patrol car overturned during a high-speed pursuit this morning in Livermore, a CHP officer said.

Two CHP patrol cars were pursuing a car on eastbound Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore near Altamont Pass Road at about 3:20 a.m., reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour, Officer Eric Anderson said.

One of the two patrol cars, with two officers, rolled over during the pursuit, Anderson said.

Both officers suffered minor injuries in the crash, he said.

The other patrol car was able to continue the pursuit and eventually pulled the car over, Anderson said.

The cause of the chase was unknown, the officer said.
