Two inmates at a Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office minimum-security detention facility in unincorporated Watsonville walked away this morning during a class break with the apparent help of two outside friends, according to a sheriff's sergeant.
Blaine Collamore, 22, of Scotts Valley, and Bryan Martin, 29, of Ben Lomond, walked away from the jail at 100 Rountree Lane at 9:15 a.m. during a recidivism reduction class. The class was on a break, sheriff's Sgt. Steve Carney said.
As of 3:30 p.m. the pair had not been found, however shortly after their disappearance deputies responded to home in the 1600 block of San Andreas Road in unincorporated Watsonville that had been burglarized, Carney said.
Sheriff's officials have linked Callamore and Martin to the theft of a 1995 blue Honda Civic with California license plate No. 2BWE696, Carney said.
The vehicle is described as oxidized blue with a rear bumper sticker that reads "Live Aloha."
At 10:45 a.m. a man and a woman, identified as 32-year-old Daniel Ballard and 25-year-old Stephanie Underwood, were arrested on suspicion of aiding the escapees when they were found in their own car near the burglarized home, sheriff's officials said.
According to deputies, the two had helped pick up the escapees and they were arrested on accessory charges and booked into the Santa Cruz County jail.

Carney said investigators are working on several leads and hope to have the two back at the jail by the end of the day.
The two were both considered low-risk inmates that had agreed to participate in a corrections program. Both had been enrolled in the program for about six weeks and were nearly done with the first phase of classes, sheriff's officials said.
The two men were both awaiting sentencing on drug and theft charges.
