Two People and a Dog Killed in Violent San Jose Car Crash

Two people were killed and two others were injured this morning in a vehicle crash in San Jose.

Officers with the San Jose Police Department responded at 1:32 a.m. to the 200 block of Casselino Drive on a report of single vehicle crash.

Police said a Honda Accord was traveling east on Casselino Drive when the driver lost control, and the vehicle crashed into a tree.

The driver, a man, and a passenger, a woman, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two other passengers were transported to the hospital.

A man was transported with injuries that were not life threatening, and a woman was transported with injuries that were life threatening.

There were also two dogs in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and one was killed.

Police said they believe alcohol and marijuana are suspected to be involved in the crash.

The identities of the victims have not been released.
