Two Santa Rosa College Students Nabbed in Rohnert Park Motel Shooting

A Santa Rosa Junior College student has been arrested on suspicion of shooting and seriously wounding a prostitute and his roommate is in custody on suspicion of helping him flee the scene.

Police in Rohnert Park say 22-year-old Ronnie Paul Threadgill shot a 24-year-old Sacramento woman he was paying for sex at a Motel 6 on July 2.

They said he hit a man, later arrested on suspicion of pimping, in the head with a gun as he ran out of the room.

Investigators believe Threadgill's roommate, 19-year-old Koa James Sibley, was the getaway driver.

The Santa Rosa Press-Democrat reports the woman was shot in the neck and leg and remains hospitalized with serious injuries. Sgt. Jeff Justice said she has not been able to communicate with detectives.

The suspects are being held on $1.5 million bail.
