Two Shootings in San Jose, Following Violent Weekend

San Jose police began investigating a pair of shootings that occurred within six hours of each other following two other shootings over the weekend.

In the most recent case, Lt. Chris Monahan said a 22-year-old man had been shot three times - in the heart, face and abdomen - about 3:45 a.m. Tuesday near Standwood and Dellwood drives. The suspects in this case, Monahan said, wore black hats and black bandanas. They took off in what appeared to be a silver sedan.

On Monday at 9:33 p.m., Sgt. Heather Randol said a man showed up to a hospital emergency room who had been shot at least once. He had been shot near Almaden and Oak avenues. Randol said he was listed in serious condition.

This follows on the heels of two other weekend shootings in San Jose.

A man was shot Sunday about 9 p.m. in the 3000 block of Story Road.

And one man died, and another was injured during a double drive-by Saturday about 2 a.m. in the 200 block of Oak Street.
