Tyler Florence Wants to Teach You to Cook — For Free

It's not every day a celebrity chef wants to show you how to cook. Which means it's definitely not every day a celebrity chef wants to show you how to cook -- for free!

Food Network favorite, Mill Valley resident and executive chef of San Francisco-based Wayfare Tavern (good luck getting a table) Tyler Florence will show all comers how to cook some of his favorite dishes -- for free -- Wednesday evening at the Macy's Cellar in Union Square.

The celebrity chef meals will be out of some of his latest cookbooks, which Florence is promoting.

Two of the repasts sure to impress are his "One Pan Lasagna" and the "Peach Rice Pudding," according to the San Francisco Appeal.

The one-hour cooking class runs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. It's free, as we mentioned, but it's recommended that eager would-be Florentines arrive early or ring for reservations, as space is limited.

Call 1-800-786-2665 to RSVP. Macy's Cellar is at 170 O'Farrell Street in Union Square. No chef's hat or whites required.
