Vallejo Police Seek Pair of Women in Toys ‘R' Us Shoplifting Attempt That Turned Violent

Two women caught trying to steal $150 in baby formula assaulted the store manager then shoved two girls, 11 and 15, out of the way in making their escape, authorities said.

Police in Vallejo are looking for the public's help in identifying two women wanted in connection with trying to steal $150 in baby formula from a Toys 'R' Us last week.

The women entered the Toys 'R' Us at 105 Plaza Drive on Dec. 19 and were caught by the store manager trying to steal the baby formula, police said.

Police said the women punched and elbowed the store manager when he tried to stop them.

During the incident, a 15-year-old girl was slammed into a wall and another 11-year-old girl was violently shoved as the two suspects were fleeing the store, police said. The 11-year-old had to be transported to the hospital due to injuries she suffered to her head after being shoved, police said.

On Dec. 19, two women entered a Toys R' Us in Vallejo and were caught by the store manager trying to steal the baby formula, but they escaped in a white Hyundai, police said.

Citizens tried to detain the suspects outside the store, but the women were able to escape in a newer white Hyundai with blue paper license plates. The front, rear and front side windows of the vehicle were smashed during the incident, police said.
