Video Game Dispute Sends SF Man to Hospital

It wasn't game over. But life was put on pause.

A San Francisco man's situation was reset when he woke up in an ambulance following a dispute with a friend over a video game, according to the San Francisco Examiner.

The gamer awoke Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. unsure of what had happened, according to police. He told officers that he'd been playing video games in a home on the 600 block of Keith Street in San Francisco's Bayview District when an argument ensued and "things heated up," the newspaper reported.

The gamer's friend, who lived in the home, told him to leave. As the gamer bent down to pick up his backpack, he was evidently struck with a bar stool, the impact of which caused him to fall down a set of stairs. His head injuries "required stapling," the newspaper reported. That's real stuff.

No arrests were reported.
