Walnut Creek's “Aquanuts” Knocked Out of “America's Got Talent”

Despite their fancy synchronized swimming in heels for a national television audience, the Walnut Creek-based "Aquanuts" were knocked out of NBC's "America's Got Talent" this week.

Still, despite the Tuesday night eliminated, Head Coach Kim Probst said in an email that she was "really proud of how the girls performed."

The final winner has not yet been selected yet.

If the team of eight girls ranging in age from 16 to 19 had won, they would have used the $1 million prize to upgrade the rundown pool they've been swimming in.

The 45-year-old club has trained more than 20 Olympians and several performers in the Circque du Soleil’s "O."
