Warriors' Bogut Leaves Game 5 With Left Knee Sprain

OAKLAND – Warriors center Andrew Bogut left Game 5 of the NBA Finals in the third quarter Monday night with a left knee sprain, the team announced.

Bogut will not return to Game 5 and an MRI has been scheduled for Monday night.

After blocking a layup by Cavs guard JR Smith with 10:29 left in the quarter, Bogut landed and immediately fell to the floor clutching his left knee. He remained down as play resumed until the Warriors called timeout with 10:07 left in the quarter.

Bogut was assisted off the floor and into the locker room, his left leg raised the entire time.

He played eight minutes, finishing with four rebounds and three blocked shots. He committed four fouls during his stint.
