Warriors Soar Past Raptors Behind Curry, Durant

With Stephen Curry and Draymond Green leading the way, the Warriors survived the first phase of a challenging four-game road trip, holding off the Raptors 127-121 Wednesday night at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Playing in the city in which he spent much of his adolescence, Curry poured in a game-high 35 points as the Warriors (9-2) pushed their win streak to five.

Kevin Durant tossed in 30 points, making it the first time he and Curry have reached that level in the same game. Klay Thompson totaled 15 points, Green had 11 and Andre Iguodala added 10 off the bench.

After starting slowly and trailing by as much as 10 in the first quarter, the Warriors followed the ferocious defense of Andre Iguodala and Green to change the direction of the game.

Curry finished the game despite banging his right knee off the leg of Raptors forward Pascal Siakam in the fourth quarter. Curry was examined by Warriors trainers before returning to the floor.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS: Green was a beast on defense and stirred the offense, and Curry once again mastered Toronto, the opponent against which he historically has his greatest offensive production.

Green’s line: 11 points (5-of-13 from the field, 1-of-4 from beyond the arc), seven rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals. He played 35 minutes and finished plus-1.

Curry’s line: 35 points (10-of-19, 3-of-9, 12-of-13 from the line), seven assists, three rebounds and a steal. He played 37 minutes and was plus-4. With 14 points in the third quarter, he single-handedly squelched a Raptors rally.
