Report: Wedding-Crasher in “Leprechaun-Style Hat” Identified as Arson Suspect

His hat was green and his hands are unclean.

The man suspected of starting a brush fire in San Rafael wore a "distinctive" "leprechaun-style hat" and had just been removed from a wedding reception prior to setting some dry grass on fire, the Marin Independent Journal reported.

Juan Osmin Duran had just been evicted from the Elks Lodge at about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night when, on his way off of the property, he flicked "a lighter or lit matches into" dry brush, the newspaper reported.

The small fire didn't damage any buildings. Duran was found a few blocks away a short time later, still wearing the same hat, the newspaper reported.

He's been charged with arson by local prosecutors and is in jail on $50,000 bail.
