When Drugs and Booze Mix With Girls' Night Out

Five teenage girls were busted during a "girls' night out" when  California Highway Patrol officers pulled them over and found marijuana and  alcohol in Marin County early Sunday morning, according to the CHP.

Officers pulled over a Toyota Scion weaving between lanes on U.S.  Highway 101 near the Rodeo Avenue exit at about 2:20 a.m., officials said.

Officers found a 15-year-old girl who was driving the car with a  learner's permit only. The other girls were ages 14, 16, and two were 17,  according to the CHP.

Several of the girls had been drinking, officials said.

Officers searched the car and found marijuana and a mixed drink  that was concealed in an iced tea bottle, according to the CHP.

The girls revealed that they had told their parents they were  spending the night at each other's houses and instead drove to a hookah bar  in San Francisco.

The teenagers were all high school students from Corte Madera,  Greenbrae and Tiburon.

Officers issued citations to the girls and they were then released  to their parents.
