Woman Arrested, Accused of Stealing Items From Vehicles, Mail Theft on the Peninsula

A 22-year-old Sacramento resident was arrested Saturday on suspicion of stealing items from unlocked vehicles in Woodside and mail theft, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said.

Shortly after 9 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a woman breaking into a vehicle in front of a residence in the 4100 block of Jefferson Avenue. The suspect, Jamie Cordero, was located inside a person's vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.

An investigation concluded that Cordero had taken items from numerous locked vehicles and possessed stolen property from multiple victims in the immediate area.

Two victims had items stolen from unlocked vehicles and another two had mail stolen, the sheriff's office said in a news release.

Cordero was booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of tampering with a vehicle, possessing stolen property, petty theft and mail theft.
