Police are searching for a man who groped a woman inside a Stanford University bathroom.

The victim told police the incident happened Saturday night in the women's restroom near the Stanford Memorial Church on the campus’s Main Quad.

A witness said a woman was about to leave the bathroom when a man came up to her, groped her bottom, and then ran away. The victim isn't talking to police, but Stanford leaders say she wasn't hurt.

The suspect is described as a man in his early 20s, standing about 6 feet tall, with a full beard, according to public safety officials. He wore a red Stanford hooded sweatshirt, black Stanford sweatpants and white shoes, public safety officials said.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the university's Department of Public Safety at (650) 329-2413.
