South Bay police are investigating a kidnap and sexual assault case this weekend.

A woman says a man somehow got inside her SUV while she was parked along El Camino Real in Palo Alto early Saturday morning and drove her to Santa Clara where he sexually assaulted her.

Santa Clara police got a 911 call after the victim flagged down a passing motorist on Saratoga Avenue and asked for help.

She told police she wasn't able to get a look at the man who attacked her.

The victim was driving a black Mercedes SUV.   Palo Alto police are asking anyone who may have seen that vehicle early Saturday in either location to give them a call.
Witnesses can call the department directly at (650) 329-2413, send an anonymous text or email to paloalto@tipnow.org, or leave an anonymous voice mail message at (650) 383-8984.
