Woman Shot to Death in San Francisco, Person of Interest Questioned

A woman was killed Tuesday evening in San Francisco and police took a person of interest into the station for questioning.

Officer Grace Gatpandan said the woman was found about 8 p.m. in the 100 block of Mason Street suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper torso.

Officers performed CPR, Gatpandan said, but she later died at the scene.

As of Tuesday evening, officers took someone to the Tenderloin Station for questioning.

No further details were released.
